ANTRE – The Meeting Point of Architects -
Melike Altınışık
The entrance, which is the first part of a building or residence that welcomes us and is the first part to be entered, connects us to the other parts of that space. As each profession proceeds in its usual course, it has an entry point at the beginning; the steps we take and the decisions we make after this point shaping our career.
Seranit is hosting architects who have shaped their careers with the steps they have taken from the entry point in their profession.
The webinar series organized by Istanbul SMD meets you with Antre under the moderation of architect Görkem Volkan!
Within the scope of the webinar series sponsored by Seranit, Görkem Volkan will talk to the leading names of Turkish architecture about their world outside of architecture.
The first guest of Antre is Melike Altınışık, who made us proud with her international success. Graduating from İTÜ Faculty of Architecture as the top student, Melike undertook her Master’s study in London’s Architectural Association Design Research Laboratory on Architecture and Urban Design.
Between 2006 and 2013, she worked on international projects as Project Manager in Zaha Hadid Architects in London. In 2013, she founded Melike Altınışık Architects in İstanbul. In 2008 she was deemed worthy of the “Europe 40 under 40” award, as one of the best 40 European architects under the age of 40. Among her projects are award winners such as Çamlıca TV and Radio Tower.
We hope you enjoy the first episode of Antre.
